Air cooled condenser in refrigeration

Air cooled condensers are significant components of refrigerators that make our food cold. Understanding how they work tells us why they are handy for everything from keeping food fresh to holding drinks cold.

These condensers are air cooled and take heat out of the refrigerant that is in the unit. As the hot refrigerant gas courses through the Evaporator and Condenser coils, the air blowing across these coils cools the gas and turns it back into a liquid. This causes the refrigerant to give off heat and keep the inside of the fridge cool.

The benefits of using air cooled condensers for refrigeration applications

Air cooled condensers are commonly used in refrigerators because they are simple to install and maintain. They don’t require water like water-cooled condensers, which means they can be used more easily in many installations. They also don’t occupy a ton of real estate, so work well in smaller coolers, like the ones we have at home.
